Pumpkin Carving Party

Inaugural Halloween Pumpkin Carving Party
Saturday, October 31!
We are going to try something a little new for Halloween this year! How about a Pumpkin Carving Party? All divers of all ages are welcome to participate. We even have something for the little guys and gals that can’t dive!

This is how it will work.:
Each diver will bring their own pumpkin (the bigger the better )
Each diver must enter the water with a buddy and exit the water with the same buddy
All of the pumpkins need to be cleaned and gutted before entering the water, making sure to place the debris in a bag as to not to clutter the quarry
ALL carving will be done under water, no pre-cut or traced designs allowed (the top can be left on the surface)
Each diver must use a dive knife to carve the pumpkin under water... no other cutting utensils allowed (that would take the fun out of it)
Each diver and his buddy must report to the “director” (probably Teresa ) before entering the water and upon returning to the shore
Judging will begin when all divers have exited the water and checked in with the “director”. No time limit... just watch your air!

For the children, that can’t dive and can’t use a cutting tool, we will have a Pumpkin Painting Party. Each participate must provide their own pumpkin and paint. There are really no rules for our painters. This one is just for fun!!!!

There is no charge for this event! We are just wanting everyone to come out and have a good time. We will have the grill ready, so if you want to bring some hotdogs or burgers to throw on, please feel free to do so.

We are trying to come up with something creative for the winners. (Teresa has already used all of her resources for the Treasure Hunt, so we will see what we can get). If nothing else, it will just be fun! 
